Weekly Highlights Round 3

So we are three weeks into the new season, and all players who have played nine games will now have their new handicaps and averages. For the new players joining the league this year, your starting handicap is calculated after your first nine games (three weeks), based on your starting average. From then on, your handicap is recalculated every week as your average changes. So, as your average goes up or down, your handicap will also change accordingly.

Onto last week's games then, and Rejects jump to the top of the table after picking up 28 points against IBS. Alleycats are just a few pins back in second place after coming out on top 21–11 against Misfits, while Oddballs are a point behind in third after a 20–12 success against Top Pins.

Some excellent bowling from Hugh Varrier this week, finishing with a 633 series, which included the new league season-high scratch game of 238. Great work, Hugh.

Ian Cottis put in a decent shift with his second 500+ series of the season, this week finishing with a 531, while Mike Gladwin was also on good form, scoring a 522 series. Well done to both.
